About Ranthambore
The thundering of paw-thumping will have your heart flutter to its beat, the glorious roar echoing in all corners of the forest will send shivers down the spine, and the innocence of tiger cubs indulging in the joy of being nurtured amidst nature is bound to fill your soul with warmth. Such is the beauty of Ranthambore, it appeals to and heightens all your senses and emotions. No wonder it attracts flocks of tourists, wildlife enthusiasts and historians from around the world. Ranthambore National Park derives its name from the Ranthambore fort which stands towering tall within the vicinity of the park. The forest was the prized property of the Maharajah of Jaipur in pre-independent India. The king and his party of royal men rode out across the forest in leisure for satiating their pleasures of hunting. Now, it is a protected area and is the abode of tigers in their most natural habitat. One of the sole reasons why people all over the world come in uncountable numbers is the tiger safari, where one can easily spot these illustrious beasts during the safari visit. To all those who seek moments of adventure and thrill, encountering the majestic creatures in their natural habitat is indeed an experience to be cherished forever. Stories that you have heard of Riddhi and her Great Grandmother ‘Machli’, Siddhi and Sultana are to be lived once you step foot on your safari. Let the ‘Noor’ of the forest, Noorie’s scintillating presence mesmerize you!
Ranthambore is a photographer’s paradise. The tigers residing in this reserve are bold and make quite the vision when you are looking through your lens. Against the backdrop of historical ruins, the tigers of Ranthambore are the central figures in this theater. The perfect amalgamation of nature, archaeology and wildlife- a frame that is only possible when you set foot in Ranthambore. Moreover, your mentor Kapil is a frequent venturer at the tiger reserve and shares a close equation with the community here. He has assembled the best team to ensure that you get the maximum tiger sightings.Taste a piece of wildlife heaven, visit Ranthambore.
- What to Expect
- Safaring with Me
- Why Choose Us?
Ranthambhore, for me, is much more than iconic tigers. It is about tigers in the historical backdrop of Ranthambore ruins, ravines, rocks, archaeology, legend and aura!
As Riddhi rules the kingdom of Raj bagh with her potential mate T 120- Ganesh in zone 3 and they have constantly been mating, Arrowhead, Riddhi's Mother, is still stuck between the now accomplished territory of Riddhi and Noorie from Zone 2. We can expect some good action around the ruins of zone 3 during the summer. It is also the time of the year when the domineering queen Riddhi crosses the famous stone bridge across Raj Bagh and enters the Hunting Palace.
What to Expect during our Summer 2023 trip!
In zone 2 and zone 4, we have Noorie and her 3 subadult cubs as well Shakti and her 3 cubs which will be grown by then and ready for separation, fighting for their own territories.
Zone 1 and Zone 2 are the homes to bold female tigers, Sultana and Siddhi (Riddhi's sisters). Keep your cameras ready because they will give you occasional sightings that are pretty bold. If your lucky stars are aligned, Sultana will grace you with her presence on the main road outside the park while driving towards any of the zones.
What to Expect during our Summer 2023 trip!
Last but definitely not least, Zone 10. Although it is a part of the buffer zone, it still has plenty to offer. Aishwariya and her 3 cubs, who will again be subadults by the time of this tour, are regular sightings at the water hole in summer. Here you get ample opportunity to capture action shots of cubs around water bodies.
Remember, frames you can make at RTR, can be made only at RTR!
What to Expect during our Summer 2023 trip!
Those who have not traveled with me before, this part is for you!
I may seem like your regular young guy next door, but I have garnered quite a lot of experience tracking tigers and capturing vivid frames.
Although, I am pretty chill during my tours when it comes to the safari part I put on my serious glasses. You’ll often find me chasing the light or looking for elements in the scene trying to look for interesting, unique compositions. I might ask you to shoot tigers in the opposite light, through a bunch of bushes, or even ask you to change to a wide-angle lens to create the Tiger Magic! I believe that subject is secondary. So if you encounter me asking you to shoot a subject as common as spotted deer, be sure that the outcome of the frame will be in a style far from how you imagined. I am not the kind of mentor who encourages shooting tiger-head-ons or tiger portraits against clean backdrops. Expect to see spontaneous bursts of my creative side during the safari!
Post-safari, our informative photography sessions will be held over some hot coffee or kadak chai. I will be sharing with you a lot of theory-based knowledge, and help you UNLEARN the old concepts of framing and RELEARN the new perspectives. From giving you constant reviews and feedback on the go, to helping you with the camera-related settings even on the field during the sighting, I always try my best to make sure YOU get THE SHOT of your trip.
We will indulge in occasional ribbing and fun during our waiting time at the gate while driving down on the safari and even over dinner. However, when it comes to safaris, we put our game face on, and become silent observers in the jeep!
I will also be discussing the current updates or predicting tiger sightings with my drivers and guides, and accordingly seek your priorities too!
- Let us give you a detailed breakdown of the reasons to justify the cost at which we sell our tours!
- Unlike other tour companies who just book safaris for you and leave the rest to your luck, we actively try to maximize sightings by choosing the best zones of the park. At these zones, we anticipate the most happening sightings in the forest. We also target other factors like weather, fog, rain, and sunsets to get the best aura and add a lot of elements in your frame such as seasonal blooming flowers or leaves or maybe the overall ambience of the jungle! We want you to go home with every image that conveys a story!
- We mostly do not work with roaster guides or drivers. Majority of the time we have both (the driver and the guide) or at least one of them “on Choice”. Yes, we pay extra for them because it is one of those things that matter a lot! While visiting these parks for years, experiencing all the odds and evens, I have handpicked some of the best drivers and guides who understand my photography needs and perspectives, anticipating & positioning the jeep exactly where we need to make those images. These will be our fixed drivers/guides for all the game drives unless we visit any other part of the park where they are not permitted. The kind of images we shall make is unmatchable by any other fellow neighbors during a sighting. This is especially because of the commendable cooperation of our team, together with my creative ability to look for positioning and angles that make every frame evocative.
- One very important point to be highlighted is that we do not accommodate 6 participants in a jeep. On a single jeep safari, you will only be 4 participants with me, and on a 2-jeep-safari, you will be 7+1 (Me). Four participants in a jeep helps accommodate all your equipment as well as give you more space for shooting those perfect shots.
- We always try to be amongst the first jeeps to enter the park as the safari starts since we believe in the adage “the early bird catches the worm”. “Early jeep catches the Tiger!”.
- We choose some of the prime accommodations in terms of hygiene, aura, food, services and safety. Our resorts are a mixture of deluxe and luxury that rejuvenates you after a tiring safari. We pay very close attention to the services of the lodge and of course the quality of the food. The location of the accommodation is very important to us as we want it to be as close as possible to the safari gate.
- Besides taking a whole lot of photography and animal behavior ‘gyaan’, you will also be taking home moments to cherish with fellow group members. Memories filled with the fun you’d have, the sightings you’ll share and the witty banter that we would be doing will also take up some space in your travel backpacks.
- Overall, you’ll have the best team, the best expertise, the best stay considering the cost you’re paying and the best mentor, of course! You will see firsthand the equation that I share with the resort staff and everyone in the park and the amount of love and respect I get from everyone here!
- A true value-for-money experience and we shall put in all of our efforts to justify the trust you put in us through hard work and honesty!

Managing your Expectations
Kindly manage your super expectations from the trip. All that is mentioned above are sightings that we have witnessed in the past and anticipate for the future. Although we are quite confident regarding the sightings during our tours, I hope you do not expect to go back home with similar kinds of images that feature in my gallery or portfolio. Our highly experienced team try their utmost to ensure that you get the best possible sightings each season, but kindly understand that tiger sighting is a matter of luck. I have been visiting this park since 2011, and have lost count of the number of safaris I’ve done here. I am incredibly lucky to make these images over the years of my back-to-back safaris here! At the end of the day, a lot boils down to luck and nothing is guaranteed in the wild!
